The campgrounds are closed and both gates were supposed to be locked by the 1st of October. As of Sunday afternoon they were still unlocked.

Per USFS Ramiro Rijos, the "NORTH DINKEY" logging enterprise is now up for public comment, and stays open until around the 20th of October. This is the time to voice concerns about the project that is going out for bid soon. The FS has 45 days after public comment to respond to what comes in.. Issues like protection of our cabins 'n improvements, cleanup contractor bonding, making sure extra care is taken around the spring (Heavy equipment/logging could cause collapse of the spring?!), who will clean up the blue paint on the trees if there is no successful bidders and/or WHATEVER can be addressed during this period.. This is the time to act, any subsequent action will be reactive to the terms of the contract bid...
