2014 Billing

From Kathy Landess:

Hi, all!

We apologize for the short notice but we were waiting to make sure that the RO or WO didn’t pull the rug out from underneath us regarding delaying the yearly billing as they have done in the past few years.  Thankfully, they didn’t this year.  The billing will be slightly delayed but we intend to have the bills in the mail early next week.  Please tell your folks that if they haven’t received their bill by the end of the month to contact us.  The billing amount will be straightforward – 2013 fee adjusted by the IPD factor (1.014) = 2014 fee.

For those folks who request payment plans, there is a change in process.  The district can no longer accept payment plans.  The payment plans must be processed through the Albuquerque Service Center (ASC).  ASC’s number if 1-877-372-7248, select Option 1 for Budget and Finance.  Must be able to prove a financial hardship.

As always, give me a shout if you have any questions or wish to discuss anything.  J

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Huntington Basin Project

Also, as requested at a few tract meetings, I would like to provide a link to the Sierra National Forest Project page for the Huntington Basin Project.  I want to encourage those that have cabins around the lake to please keep informed of the project as it develops, be aware of how it could affect your cabin, and voice your concerns throughout the process.  For those tracts that I have not attended meetings with yet, I will be touching on this topic at your meeting.

News from Becky Shufelt

Hi Brad,
Could you let the members in your tract know that tree seedlings are available for cabin owners to plant in areas that were affected by logging activities during the 2012 Dinkey Creek Project? I would announce it at your tract meeting but I’m afraid it might be too late in the season to plant the trees for them to survive.  Our tree planting crew was able to plant about 100 trees in the area behind lot #12, but I am sure there are other areas that might need attention.  If anyone is interested, you can pass them my contact information, listed below.  Thanks!

From Debra Rios - US Forest Service

Hi,

Just wanted to let you all know and you can update your tract members, we are still on hold with the 2013 billings for the cabins.  The holdup is due to waiting for the fee calculation programming to be completed and installed in the database system.  We are anticipating that to be functional by mid-January which means you should be seeing your bills around the first of February.  If there is going to be another delay, we will update you.

If you have any questions regarding the bills/billings, please let me know, I can be reached at the number below.

If you have questions about your recreation residence permit, please contact either myself or Brad Bolton, District Special Uses/Lands Officer.  He can be reached at this office at phone ext. 3330 or his e-mail is blbolton@fs.fed.us.

Happy New Year!
